Juanita Rose (Canter) Bowen, age 80, of Jackson county, Ohio passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 at her home. She was born December 5, 1940 in Jackson to the late Willard Canter and Edna Faye (Riffle) Canter.

She was a beautiful soul. She was very strong willed, loving and caring. She enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved her animals, family and music above ALL else. She never got to travel much but she always talked of her trips to visit family in Oklahoma.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving companion of 32 years, James Arthur Bowen; her sisters, Mildred Oiler and Dorothy Wiseman; her brother, Delbert Hank Canter; and her daughter, Cindy Warren.

She is survived by two sisters, Gay Wiseman and Sharon Kearns; her four daughters and three sons, Debbie K. Queen, Tammy Huffine, Patty Sprouse, Peggy Cryder, Terry Waugh, Mike Prince and Marshall Sprouse and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends may call Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 11-1 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson. Per CDC guidelines and governor recommendations, everyone is asked to wear a mask indoors and practice proper social distancing procedures and guidelines.
