Janet Lou Allen

Janet Allen, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Jackson Care Center. She was born June 16, 1941, to the late Walter and Alwilda Buckley.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Ronnie Allen.

She is survived by her children, Ronnie (Lori) Allen, Melinda (Brian) McFann, and Mary (Brett) Lewis; grandchildren, Jessica Glancy, Michelle Allen, Brittney McFann, Rachel (Craig) Stiltner, and Andrea Lewis; great grandchildren, Hailee Allen, Bronwyn Stiltner and Aurora Stiltner. She is also survived by her brother, Mike (Brenda) Buckley and sister, Jo Ann (Jim) McCann.

Janet loved taking long walks around Oak Hill and talking to her neighbors. She spent her life taking care of children. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with her loving grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, from 1-2 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Oak Hill. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
