Terry Lee Carter

Terry Lee Carter, age 71, of Jackson, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born September 4, 1955, in Gallipolis, to the late Delbert and Goldie (Blackburn) Carter.

He is survived by his two daughters, Tara (Doug) Martin, of Jackson, and Devon (Josh) Chavez, of Jackson; grandchildren: Trace Martin, Hunter Sites, Collin Martin, Gavin Sites, Taylor Sites, Chance Martin, Carter Chavez, and Cruz Chavez; and special friends, Rick, Kara and Casey Bowman. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Denise (Davis) Carter; brother, Steve Carter, and sister, Karen Markham; infant grandchild, Madison Sites.

Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 8, 2026. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery.
