Michael Lee Ross

Michael Lee Ross, age 65, of Jackson was called home after a brief illness late Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Adena in Chillicothe. He was born June 17, 1961, in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Willard and Patricia (Ramey) Ross.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Teresa (May) Ross; son, Colin (Yolanda) Ross, daughter, Kaylynn (Tyler) Jeffers; grandchildren: Caleb, Willow, Jadyn, and Lennon; brother, Gene (Helen) Ross; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda (Rusty) Barnett; brother and sister-in-law, Rob (Diane) Morgan; and sister-in-law, Connie May; and his beloved canine companion, Milo. He is also survived by several special nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by baby brother, James “Jimmy” Ross; brother-in-law, Sheldon “Bob” May; and mother and father-in-law, Roy and Margaret (Loudermilk) May. 

Mike graduated from Jackson High School in 1979. He was employed with Merillat industries for 31 years until their closing. He worked several jobs after Merillat until his health declined. He was an avid fan of music and a very talented guitar player, often playing in church.

Public visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 11-2 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 at the funeral home with Pastor Russ Strange officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
