Everett Addington, age 86, of Oak Hill, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born in Beefhide, Kentucky on July 16, 1931, to the late Hatler and Rosie (Little) Addington.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth (Margaret) Addington. Also preceding him in death were his sisters, Nora Johnson, Flora Ray, Esta Newsome, Myra Newsome and brothers, Virgil and Vernon Addington.

He is survived by his son, William (Diane) Addington, of Marengo, Ohio and his daughter, Kimberly (David) Phillips, of Oak Hill. Also surviving are granddaughters, Alison and Laura Addington and Kara (Andy) Roof; special friend, Naomi Starcher and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Everett was a lifetime member of the Phoenix #13 Masonic Lodge, of Ypsilanti, MI. He was also involved with the Old Car Club of Jackson for many years.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, off Route 139 south of Jackson. At his request, no public calling hours will be observed.
