Marvin R. Strickland

Marvin R. Strickland, age 84, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away July 21, 2026. He was born February 28th, 1942, in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Pete and Viola (Kelley) Strickland of Oak Hill, Ohio.

Marvin was a 1960 graduate of Oak Hill High School and a retiree of the A.P. Green Refractory.

He is survived by daughter, Pamela Strickland of Oak Hill, Ohio; brother, Raymond Strickland of Oak Hill, Ohio; several other brothers and sisters-in-law; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years in 2024, Beverly K. (Lovett) Strickland of Oak Hill, Ohio; brother, Robert Strickland of Oak Hill, Ohio; sisters, Selma (Carl) Yates of Oak Hill, Ohio and Margie (Charles) Crowley of Kettering, Ohio; as well as sister-in-law, Judith “Tiny” Strickland of Oak Hill, Ohio.

Per family request, private graveside services are being held at the Horeb Cemetery with Pastor Tim Simpson officiating under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
