Shane Brandon Poe

Shane Brandon Poe, age 40, passed away Friday, August 14th, 2026, at Adena Regional Medical Center of Chillicothe. He was born April 20th, 1986, in Athens, Ohio, son of Larry Sprague and Kathryn Poe.

Shane enjoyed working on cars and driving, being goofy and making people laugh, and he loved his family.

Besides his father, Shane is survived by his aunt who was like a second mother to him, Nellie Wiseman; his children: Natalie Poe, Joseph Poe, and Alaina Poe; siblings: Amy Poe (Fred McManis), Jeremy Poe, Joni (Michael) Merrill; and his nieces and nephews: Kathryn Poe, Dylan Poe, Tyler Poe, Kelsey Poe, and Kaylie Caldwell.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 4PM-6PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with a service immediately following at 6pm. Cremation will follow. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
