Lawrence “Larry” David Coleman, age 57, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Tuesday, April 18th, 2017. He was born March 21st, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Kent C. Coleman Sr. and Anna (Mathias) Coleman.

Lawrence was a Veteran of the United States Army 101st Airborne. He was stationed in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and served in Korea.

He was a member of the Masonic Humbolt Lodge #476. He retired from J.S. Maclean.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila (Grimm) Coleman of Oak Hill, Ohio; daughters: Christina (Jason) Melton of Circleville, Ohio and Amie (Travis) Doles of Richmond Dale, Ohio; grandchildren: Alyssa Doles, Hannah Doles, and Courtney Melton; siblings: Kimberly Coleman of Commercial Point, Ohio and Kacie Coleman of Oak Hill, Ohio; uncle, James G. Coleman of Oak Hill, Ohio; mother-in-law, Janet Grimm; brother-in-law, Fred Atkins; niece, Megan Hawthorne of Obetz, Ohio; nephews, Scott Blake and Brandon Blake of Commercial Point, Ohio; best friend, Michael McNeal of Wellston, Ohio; and his brothers and sisters in music: Michael McNeal, John Robert Bowens, Dusty Snyder, Chet Willis, Lynn Bowens, Kacie Coleman, and Amie Doles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Emma Leonard Coleman; father-in-law, Reese Grimm; and sister-in-law, Vicky Atkins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 21st, 2017 from 1-4pm at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. A funeral service will follow at 4pm at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Patterson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Horeb Cemetery.
