Marlina Joy Monk, age 50, of Tampa Florida, passed away suddenly Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Tampa General Hospital in Tampa FL. She was born October 28, 1965 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late John and Rose (Shelton) Monk. She is survived by her two children, Monica Elliott and Joshua Monk; brother, Steven (Gail) Monk; sisters, Daisy (Richard) Rubel, Kathleen Monk and Gloria Babcock. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Deana Rohn and brothers, Julius and David Monk. Marlina was a high-spirited, fun-loving person who liked to fish. She loved her family and loved the Lord. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery.
