Joseph “Joey” Adam Rawlins, age 41, of Oak Hill, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born November 8, 1980, in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Joey is survived by his father, Clifford Rawlins; his mother, Diana (Clagg) Rawlins (Rodger Long); daughter, Kendra Rawlins, of Holden, West Virginia; brother, Chris Rawlins, of Oak Hill; grandmother, Jeanetta Dickens, of Oak Hill; grandfather, Jessie Rawlins, of South Webster; his very special niece, Abby Rawlins; his girlfriend, Michelle Canter and son, Jordan Charles. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Logan Dickens and Clarence Clagg, of Oak Hill; his grandmother, Carol Rawlins, of South Webster; his uncle, Tom Clagg, who was very special to him and his great grandparents.
Joey was employed at Wingate Packaging, of Washington Court House as a press operator. If he wasn’t at work, you could find him in the woods hunting or fishing at the lake or some other outdoor activity.
Visitation will be Friday, May 20, 2022, from 11-1 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 with Pastor Ronnie Rawlins officiating. Burial will follow in South Webster. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
