Gregory John Herbert, age 65, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away surrounded by his family Thursday evening, January 25th, 2018. He was born May 4th, 1952 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late John W. and Helen (Allen) Herbert.

Greg was a skilled carpenter who spent the first part of his professional life working alongside his father, a general contractor. In more recent years, he enjoyed playing the guitar, listening to bluegrass music, and watching The Ohio State Buckeyes. Throughout, his greatest joy came from his family; he was a wonderful father who played a very active role in the lives of his children.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy Herbert of Oak Hill, Ohio; daughter, Chelsea Herbert of Columbus, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Stacy Herbert and grandson, Lawson Herbert all of Jackson Ohio; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Melvin Morgan of Oak Hill, Ohio; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rita and David Wiseman of Gallipolis, Ohio; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Patricia and Stewart Reigel of Jackson, Ohio; special friend, Anthony Kiragu of Columbus, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
