Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Alice Foster, maternal grandparents, Bob and Esther Rice, and father-in-law, Dane Lewis.

Ryan was a devoted and loving husband and father. Ryan and Ashley shared 15 loving years together and enjoyed raising their two sons together. Ryan treasured his time with his two sons, whether it be hunting, fishing, and playing X-Box with Weston, or playing Legos, Roblox and keeping up on Star Wars, WW2, and trains with Quincy, and all day swimming in the pool with late evening weenie roasts with his family. Ryan also adored his parents and was very proud of them.

He started his fire department journey with Liberty township FD. Obtained his EMT and began his career at SOEMS, which later became JCEMS. Ryan became a paramedic and quickly grew his career by becoming station chief at station 10 and then becoming JCEMS supervisor. After moving to Oak Hill, Ryan joined the Madison Jefferson FD. Ryan had a great passion for helping others and was ready to help, even from a young age. He saved so many lives and helped so many others during his short time here and we are all better people because of Ryan. He was a true hero and will be deeply, deeply missed.
