Mary Coll Conroy, age 90, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Monday, November 27th, 2023, at the Ohio State University Medical Center. She was born September 26th, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Daniel P. Jr. and Maude (Jones) Coll.
Mary, or Mimi as she was lovingly known, lived 89 of her 90 years in Jackson, Ohio. She was a 1951 graduate of Jackson High School, after which she attended the Ohio State University and later worked as a substitute teacher.
She was very active in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Jackson. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, talking on the phone, and family weekend getaways, especially the family vacations to Hilton Head.
Mary is survived by her children, W. Thomas (Terri) Conroy, Jeffrey C. (Rogina) Conroy, and Cynthia C. Hamlin; grandchildren: Kyle (Dan) Barnum, Katie (Jason) Wakley, Jackie (Mark) Bensfield, Will (Marybeth) Conroy, Brock Conroy, Sean (Kathryn) Hamlin, Jenny (John) Scharfenberg, Janie (Matt) Matica, and Ben Conroy; and 14 great-grandchildren: Bentley, Bailor, Beckett, Bishop, Annabelle, Liam, Charlie, Emmie, Lewis, Madison, Booker, Conroy, Charlotte, and Lucille.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Conroy and her sister, Patsy Morrow.
Mimi loved her husband, her children, her great-grandchildren, and their dogs dearly.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 1st, 2023, from 6-8PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at 10AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Thomas William Herge officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
