James Edward “Jimmy” Cruse, age 66, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 10th, 2022, at his home. He was born August 18th, 1956, in Jackson, Ohio to the late James Robert and Lula (Campbell) Cruse.
Jimmy worked for General Mills for over 40 years. He was very involved in his church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was past President of the Jackson branch and most recently had the title of High Counselor of the Columbus, Ohio South Stake.
He is survived by his children: Jason (Maydelma) Cruse, Chad (Nicole) Cruse, and Shandi (Bill) Wilbur; grandchildren: Corbin and Kye Wilbur and Zion and Rayne Cruse; siblings: Diane Sheward, Ronnie Cruse, Troy Cruse, Steve Cruse, Allen Cruse, Billy Joe Cruse, and Andy Cruse; special family members, JR and Magnolia Maquindang, Marilyn Tuba, and Caroline Santillano; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Pitts) Cruse.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 15th, 2022, from 11-2PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A funeral service will follow at 2PM at the funeral home with JR Maquindang and President Barkley conducting. Burial will follow in the German-Salem Cemetery.
