We are sad to announce that on Saturday, July 29th, 2023, we had to say goodbye to G. “Wayne” Phillips of Jackson, Ohio. Wayne was born on March 8th, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio.
Wayne was a self-employed truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and carpentry.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diana (Waldren) Phillips of Jackson, Ohio; daughters, Melissa (Dave) Lander of Plymouth, Michigan and Melinda (Scott) Wallace of Canal Winchester, Ohio; son, Brian Phillips of Grove City, Ohio; and grandchildren: Reece and Ethan Lander of Clearwater, Florida and Paige Wallace of Canal Winchester, Ohio.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Albert “Dale” Phillips; mother-in-law, Pauline Esther (Moats) Waldren; and father-in-law, Owen “Doc” Waldren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 5th, 2023, at 12PM with Pastor Gary Sollars officiating. Family will greet guests from 11AM-12PM prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
