George William McNerlin, age 86, of Oak Hill, passed away July 11th, 2020 at Four Winds Community in Jackson. He was born July 22nd, 1933 in Oak Hill to the late Daniel and Sadie (Malone) McNerlin.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Delorce (Cook) McNerlin; brothers, Bob and John McNerlin; sister, Susan Alma Miller and grandson, Timmy Crabtree and his son-in-law, Steve Crabtree.

He is survived by his daughters, Rita Crabtree, Linda (Larry) Smith and Peggy Henry; sons, Randy (Tina) McNerlin and Bill (Julie) McNerlin; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers, Tom and Roy McNerlin and sister-in-law, Glenna Taylor and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank Four Winds for their care of dad in his final months and especially his final days.

Friends may call Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 4-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastor Bryon Carmon officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery with military graveside services.
