Richard C. “Dick” Figlestahler, age 76, of Jackson, passed away after a long illness early Thursday, morning, June 4, 2020 at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Grove City, Ohio. Dick was born October, 22 1943 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late George and Ann H. (Evers) Figlestahler.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joyce (Jones) Figlestahler, of Jackson; sons, Doug (Becky) Figlestahler, of Tipp City and Craig (Christine) Figlestahler, of Galloway, Ohio and Chris (Alicia) Lortz, of Lancaster, Ohio; grandchildren, Hannah, Darby, Nick, Alex, Zack, Ryan, Catherine, Kendra and Aaron. Also surviving is his sister, Georgeann (Randy) Almond, of Grove City.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Figlestahler; and brother, Dan Figlestahler.

Dick served in the United States Air Force, serving the majority of his time at RAF Alconbury in England. He then worked at Merillat Industries in Jackson, retiring in 2005. He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wellston.

Private graveside burial services will be held at Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston with Father Nicola Ventura officiating. Military graveside services will be provided by the Jackson Disabled American Veterans and United States Air Force. A private viewing will be held at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson.
