John Edwin McNerlin, age 81, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 19th, 2020 at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born July 30th, 1938 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Danny and Sadie (Malone) McNerlin.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie McNerlin; children: Sharon Smith (Marti Wells), John (Sandy) McNerlin, and Grace (Tim) Phillips; grandchildren: Gabrielle, John Walker, John (Donna) Phillips, Shane Walker, Katie McNerlin, Paul Gillenwater, and Samantha Padgett; great-grandchildren: Dan Lagerstam, Lilly Lagerstam, Allen Roberts, Aubree Walker, Alyssa Phillips, Hailie Phillips, Madalynn Phillips, and Isabella Phillips; as well as step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kay (Jenkins) McNerlin; daughter, Anita (McNerlin) Walker; brother, Robert “Bob” McNerlin; sister, Alma (McNerlin) Miller; grandson, Travis Fairchild; and in-laws, Dan and Ann Jenkins.

Private family services are being held under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Rev. Jorge Anido officiating. Burial will be at C.M. Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
