Joann May (Bowling) Barr, age 75, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 30th, 2020 at her home. She was born January 21st, 1945 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Edgel and Ella (Reeves) Bowling.

Joann is survived by her husband, Duane Barr; children: Ron Patton (Liz), Anna Patton, Harvey Edward (Teresa) Patton, and Shawn Barr; grandchildren: Aleesha, Jeremy, Cassandra, Haley, Lyndsey, Josie, Keegan, and Adam; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Esther Malone; brother, Jerry Bowling; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Donald Aldridge and Harvey Patton; a son, Donald Patton; brother, Glen Roy Bowling; and an infant sister, Dora Bowling.

Joann was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson. She had a lifelong career as a nurse at various healthcare facilities around the community. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly.

Private family services are being held under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
