Wanda Fern (Malone) Cooper, age 80, of Oak Hill, passed away Monday, November 11, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the youngest child born November 30, 1938 in Ironton to the late Ozie Casper Malone and Vernon Marie (McFann) Malone.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Wilma Hemphill, Anna Helen Bradshaw Delawder, Eugene Malone, Emil Malone, Emerson Malone, John Edward Malone and Norma Jean Malone.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Alvin (June) Cooper, whom she married May 21, 1960. She is also survived by her children, Neal (Cathy) Cooper and Reda Cooper; grandchildren, Adam, Kaitlyn and Krista Cooper; special nephew and niece, Roy and Kathy Hemphill; and several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Wanda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She adored her three grandchildren and she loved her dog “Peanut”. She never missed an episode of “Days of Our Lives” or “Wheel of Fortune”. She enjoyed her numerous trips to Tennessee with her husband over the years.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill with Pastor Cline Rawlins officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
