Nancy L. (Hess) Hubbard, age 84, of Oak Hill, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Oakwood Community in Jackson. She was born May 8, 1935 in Raven, VA. to the late Carl and Thelma (Thacker) Hess.

She is survived by her children, children, Jeff (Rhonda) Hubbard, Susan (Tim) Wilson and Mary Jane Parsons; former daughter-in-law, Ellen; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and several cousins, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Howard Hubbard; her son, Danny G. Hubbard and numerous step brothers and sisters.

Nancy was a faithful and dedicated member of the Oak Hill Freewill Baptist Church. She volunteered at the nursing home as well as doing pet therapy for the patients for several years. She was a loving wife and mother. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Friends may call Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill from 12:30-2:00 PM. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 with Rev. Danny Boggs officiating.
