Richard David Workman passed away on September 13th, 2019 in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was born on June 2nd, 1960 to Wanda Self in Huntington, WV. In 1962 he was adopted into the Johnnie J. Workman family.
Rick was an avid motorcycle rider and loved the brotherhood. After 26 years working as an operating engineer, he retired and enjoyed spending time with his family and only granddaughter, Addison.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughters: Amy and Lindsey; son, Evan; his mother, Wanda and her husband, Ronnie from Princeton, WV. Family surviving in Kenova, WV are his sister, Becky Christian, and son, Marty; brother, Kenny Workman and his wife Donna as well as their children, David and Allison; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie J. Workman and Gayleen Maynard Workman; brother, Johnny Lee Workman; brother-in-law, Dale Christian; uncle, Kenny Maynard; and nephew, Tony Christian.
Rick came to Jackson to work on the Route 35 bypass and never left. His passing has left a huge open wound in the hearts of all who loved him.
