Leslie F. Miller, 101, of Jackson, had the privilege of meeting Jesus face to face on August 1, 2019, while a resident of the Assisted Living Unit of Jenkins Care Community in Wellston.

Leslie was born on July 28, 1918, in Charley, Kentucky, the first child of the late Robert and Emma Miller. He was blessed to be married to two special ladies during his lifetime, both of whom predeceased him. Leslie was married to Doris Bernice Green for 60 years, and was later united in marriage to Opal Hughes for 11 years.

Besides his parents and wives, Leslie was preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Metzler Adkins, brother Charles U. Miller, daughter Judy Potter, and son Ralph Miller. He is survived by his son Robert (Sharon) Miller of Jackson, daughters Verna Rowland of New York, Ruth Diana Selles of Indiana, and Rita (Tim) Silvey of Jackson, stepsons Butch (Carol) Hughes and Roger (Vicki) Hughes of Oak Hill, son-in-law, Elwin Potter of Oak Hill, daughter-in-law, Marilyn Miller of Jackson, sisters, Goldie Johnson and Phoebe Coffee both of Gallipolis. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

There aren't enough words to adequately express our gratitude for the loving, respectful care that was shown to Les and our family by the staff of the Assisted Living Unit at Jenkins Care Community.

Friends may call Monday, August 5, 2019 from 10-12 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 with Pastors Tim Simpson and Allen Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Coalton.
