Melody “Gail” Wright, age 62, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Sunday, April 7th, 2019 at the Ohio State Hospital after a short battle with cancer. She was born June 25th, 1956 in Wellston, Ohio to the late James Carpenter Sr. and Barbara (Browning) Carpenter.

She is survived by her spouse of many years, Steve Fowler; daughters: Melissa (Dennis), Tammy (Larry), and Jaime (Richard), and Sidney; sons: Adam (Christina) , Mark, Kyle, and Robert; sixteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Ruthann Dingus, Joyce Dingus, Rosetta Evans, Sarah Krischack, and Amy Elkins; brother, James Carpenter; great-nephew, Triston Landrum who called her “Granny Gail”; as well as several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jonathon Wright.

Gail worked at Buckeye Community Services for the last nineteen years. She enjoyed family and had a hand in raising her grandchildren. She had a loving heart and helped anyone she could. She will be truly missed by everyone.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 11th, 2019 from 4-8PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 12th, 2019 at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Dennison Chapel Cemetery in Mount Sterling, Ohio.
