Danny Thomas Griffiths, age 71, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 at his home. He was born July 22nd, 1947 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Carl and Kathleen (Kirby) Griffiths.

Danny was a 1965 graduate of Wellston High School. He was employed by Southern Ohio Correctional Facility until the time in which he became disabled. He enjoyed watching football and was a fan of both OSU and Jackson Ironmen. In prior years, he has volunteered as a coach with both the boys and girls’ cross-country teams at Jackson High School.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Beverly (Smith) Griffiths; daughter, Melissa (Marc) Collins; sons, Thomas (Julie) Griffiths and Matthew (Natalie) Griffiths; grandchildren: Alicia (Caleb) Orton, Blake (Kimberly) Collins, Brooke (Derrick) Meredith, Greyson Griffiths, Gabe Griffiths, Baron Griffiths, Christopher Griffiths, Garrett Griffiths, and Madelyn Griffiths; great-grandchildren: Carson, McKenna, and Lincoln Orton, Paislee Collins, Daxton and Bronx Meredith; sister, Sandra Griffiths; as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and Arthur "Art" Griffiths, his granfather who raised him.
