On Sunday April 1, 2018 at 9:50 pm Frances “Frankie” L. (McCain) Hughes went home to the lord. She was 66 years old. Frankie was born and raised in Oak Hill Ohio, but she resided in Wilkesville, Ohio.

Frankie is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Richard E. Hughes; a son, Richard Hughes Jr.; daughter, Pamela Bowles; son in law, William E Bowles Jr.; two grandchildren, Jessica Bowles and William “BJ” Bowles; she also leaves behind her sisters: Robin Powell of Texas, Shelia Miller of Thurman, Ohio, and Sue Hughes of Oak Hill, Ohio; two brothers, Jack Wallace of Wellston, Ohio and Kenny Wallace of Coalton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Frankie is preceded in death by her parents, the late Rev. Peter E. McCain and Frances (Oliver) McCain; father-in -law, William B. Hughes; and mother-in-law, Helen Hughes.

Frankie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, watching her grandchildren march with the marching band, and she loved her animals.

Frankie passed away surrounded by her loving family at Abbyshire with hospice care. She knew the lord and welcomed him with open arms. We love and miss you.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 5th, 2018 from 3:00PM-7:00PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 6th, 2018 at 1:00PM at the funeral home with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Horeb Cemetery.
