Kristen Nichole Marks, age 33, of Jackson, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on February 4th, 2018. Kristen was born August 2, 1984 in Gallipolis, OH. She was a 2006 graduate of Hope Haven School.

She is survived by her loving parents, Roger and Pam (Smith) Marks; sisters: Jennifer Marks of Middletown, OH; Stephanie (Bill) Cummons, of Jackson, OH; grandmother, Madge (Barker) Smith of Jackson; Aunts: Anna (Ed) Annett of Mt. Vernon, OH and Julia White of Punta Gorda, FL; Uncles: Jim (Edith) Smith, of Jackson, OH and Todd (Brooke) Smith, of Jackson, OH; Cousins: Megan (Micah) Cormier, Amanda (Jeremy) McCreary, Jimmy Smith, Brianna White, Katelyn Whitt, Christopher Whitt, Eathen Cummons and Jacob Cummons.

She was preceded in death by: grandfather, Floyd Smith, grandparents, Delmar (Ray) & Kathleen (Kate) Marks and brother Roger Marks Jr.

Kristen began her life early as a premature baby weighing only 1lb 3 oz. Doctors didn’t expect her to live past the age of 3, when she made it to 12, she was a miracle child. While she had many medical issues including cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus. She loved people, listening to gospel music, tearing up newspapers, drinking coffee and her dog Daisy. She had and loved many special friends that were like family.

Friends may call Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 4-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Rondall Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Pattonsville Cemetery.
