Zelma (Adkins) Clarkson, age 85, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Thursday, December 28th, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born August 16th, 1932 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Cecil Adkins and Clara (Radabaugh) Adkins.

She is survived by her daughter, Karla (Scott) Stiltner of Oak Hill, Ohio; grandchildren, Aaron (Rosana) Stiltner, of Oak Hill, Felicia (Bryan) Profitt, of Jackson, Craig Stiltner, of Oak Hill, Ryan Clarkson, Melissa, Dennis, Michael, Mary, Kimberly and Bryan Clarkson and numerous great grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Foster Adkins; sisters, Louise Simpson, Marilyn Downard, Thelma Evans, Wyoma Hatfield and Rita Myers. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Richard Clarkson; sons, Larry Clarkson, Dennis Clarkson and Jerry Clarkson; brothers, Chester Adkins, Oscar Adkins and Vencil Adkins and sisters, Ellen Reese and Viola Chesser.

She faithfully attended the Old Country Church Tabernacle in Oak Hill for almost 30 years until her health kept her from attending. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister. She loved spending time outside and loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 1st, 2018 from 4-8pm at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2018 at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
