Roger L. Williamson, age 70, of Beaver, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 5th, 2017 after a brief illness at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born in Jackson County on February 16th, 1947 to the late Robert and Helen (Yates) Williamson. He was the third son of five boys.

He is survived by his daughter, Debby (Steve) Reiling of

Mansfield, Texas; daughter, Liana Corey of Fort Worth, Texas; older brother, David (Iva) Williamson of Jackson, Ohio; older brother, Jim (Caroline) Williamson, Sr. of Oak Hill, Ohio; and younger brother, Donald (Hope) Williamson of Bainbridge, Ohio; grandchildren: Garrett, McKenna, Spencer Catherine, and Reese Helen; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger brother, Henry Williamson.

Roger was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in Vietnam and was a POW survivor. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved nature and spending time with family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 8th, 2017 from 11:00-3:00 P.M. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Andrew Christman officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
