It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phillip Gene Coburn, age 71, of Mt. Washington, KY, who passed away Tuesday, April 5th at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born March 6th, 1951, in Ironton, Ohio to the late Willis Gene and Mary Lou (Rist) Coburn.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Stepp Coburn; daughter, Heather Ramsey; grandchildren, Nathan and Lacey Ramsey; brothers, Larry (Karen) Coburn, Greg (Yelena) Coburn, and Mark (Marilyn) Coburn, and sister, Luann (Terry) Mobley. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Andrew Ramsey; uncles, James, Dennis, and Gary Coburn; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Phil is a proud Jackson High School graduate with the class of 1969. He loved golfing, camping, fishing, and playing music with his guitar. His family was the most beloved and treasured of all things in his life. Phil had a deep concern for people in need and served them in many ways.
