Veronica “Ronni” (Adkins) Elliott, age 63, of Jackson, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 16, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on January 20, 1962, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Karl and Doris Earlene (Moles) Adkins.

Ronni graduated from Eastern High School in Beaver, Ohio, and attended Ohio University before earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Rio Grande. Her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren. She had a lifelong passion for books, often reading several at one time. She loved photography, nurturing her flower garden and houseplants, and watching and feeding the birds that gathered in her yard. Creative and curious by nature, she found joy in drawing, painting, journaling, and learning new things.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, Richard E. Elliott; son, Zach (Robby) Duncan; stepdaughters and sons: Laura (Timmy) Elliott, Brett (Mary) Elliott, Sarah (Mark) Coyan, Heather (Scott) McKee, and Chris Elliott; brothers: Merle Anthony “Tony” (Rhonda) Adkins, Chris Adkins and Robert Adkins; her father, Karl Adkins; grandchildren: Kyle Dennison, Raylin Smith, Calib Smith, Cole McCormick, Gavin McCormick, Aiden Scherer, Keeran Gillum, Raymond Howard, Kenny Howard, Tyler Howard, Conner Coyan, Gillian Coyan, Brianna (Austin) Brown, Arabella (Jacob) Romine, Jacob Elliott, Mason Elliott, and Nicolas Elliott. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Adkins; one sister, Vivian (Adkins) Ison; and her first husband, Rick Duncan.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 5-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM with Deacon Emeritus Janie Karl officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
