Shirley Ann McDaniel, age 75, of Oak Hill, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Holzer in Gallipolis. She was born to the late Hayden and Minnie Mae (Mosier) Shelton.

She is survived by her children, Denise (Mark) Edge, Michael (Susan) Northup, Crystal (Wade) Durst, and Robert Northup; sister: Mildred “Millie” Bonnette; grandchildren: Tiffany (Adam) Jagers, Natalia (Levi) Stroop, Hanna (Garrett) Cundiff, Alex Edge, and Chance, Ryan, Orlando, and Isabella Durst; great grandchildren, Henry Jagers, and Jameson Cundiff; and special friend, Edward Jack Pons Jr. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends and her “fur babies”, Ginger, Bella, Gizmo, and Max.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence Shelton, Robert Taylor, and Larry Shelton.

Shirley graduated from Southwestern High School in 1969. Earlier in her life, Shirley worked as a nurse’s aide at Gallipolis Developmental Center and then at Pinecrest Nursing Home. She loved and enjoyed her dogs, family, plants and puzzles.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 2-4 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will follow at 4:00. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
