Larry David Stewart, age 82, of Thurman, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24th, 2026, at his home. He was born August 15th, 1943, in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Udell Stewart and Mary (Dearth) Ryder.

Larry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Luke) Taylor of Jackson, Ohio, Laura Sheets, of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Wilma Melton of Gallipolis, Ohio; sons, Ronnie Stewart, Mike Stewart, Joe (Judy) Stewart, all of Oak Hill, Ohio and Greg (Candy) Fulk of Oak Hill, Ohio; grandchildren: Austyne Martin, Alyssa Longworth, Jerimiah Gibbs, Hailey Gibbs, Makayla (James) Littlejohn, Codie Clarkson (Tasha Wood), Laikon Stewart, Lindsey Stewart, Lorren Stewart, Conrad Clifton, Klynne Clifton, and Garrett Fulk; great-grandchildren: Berkely Martin, Paityn, Theo, & Myles Littlejohn, Braxton, Baylor, & Raven Clarkson, Ava Lombardo, Samir Amjad, and Amelia Voiles; niece, Heather (Rob) Eggenspiller; brother-in-law, Jr Coleman; special friends: Connie Miller, Donnie Miller, Triston Landrum, Hobert Fairchild, Tim Metzler, Johnnie Curtis, and Danny Boggs; as well as numerous other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine (Melton) Stewart; brother, Michael Stewart; sister, Linda (Stewart) Coleman; grandmother, Goldie Stewart; aunts, Ada Sickles and Phyllis Criner; great-granddaughter, Wrenley June Littlejohn; granddaughter, Jennifer Woods, and son-in-law, Guy Sheets.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, from 4PM-8PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, at 1PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
