Lora Jeanette “Sis” Bobo, born March 13, 1934 to Herman & Gracie Stapleton in South Shore, Kentucky went to be with her Lord and Savior at 2:29AM on February 19th, 2020 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Don Bobo, “the love of her life”; daughter, Neena Joy; parents, Herman and Gracie May Stapleton; brother, Lloyd “Bud” Stapleton and wife, Essie; brother-in-law, Paul Lipps; sister-in-law, Peggy Stapleton; father-in-law, Floyd “Pap” Bobo and wife, Margaret; brothers-in-law, William “Bill” Bobo, Robert “Bob” Bobo, Bess (Bobo) Miller and husband, Earnest Miller Jr.

A wonderful and caring, nurturing wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Leaving behind daughter, Lynne Childers and her husband, Keith; grandsons: Rick and Kris and wife, Lydia; great-grandson, Kristian; son, Steve and his wife Tanya; granddaughter, Cassie Mason and her husband, Bob; son, Nick and his wife, Tammy; grandson, Nicky and Kristin; great-granddaughters, Neena, Taylor, and Mila; grandson, Derek and his wife Kristy; great-grandkids, Gibson and Rainer; grandson, Jordan and wife, Paige; and great-grandson, Lincoln; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Lora, “Mom” was dearly loved by many. She spent many years giving of herself teaching school in the Oak Hill, Ohio schools. She was an amazing cook, seamstress, friend, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be sorely missed by all that had the privilege of knowing her.

She was someone that never had a cross word to say about anyone and always looked for and saw the best in those she came in contact with, a blessing and inspiration to all she crossed paths with.

She greatly loved her family and friends with a love only surpassed by her love her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in whose arms she now rests.

Mom’s request was in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hamilton Christian Church, Hamilton Christian Church c/o Karen McCall, 108 Florence Ave Jackson, Ohio 45640, where she and dad attended.

Respects may be paid on Saturday, February 22nd, 2020 from 11AM to 1PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home, 202 Maple Avenue, Oak Hill, OH 45656. Graveside services will follow at Franklin Valley Cemetery, Franklin Valley, Rd., Jackson, Ohio. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
