William D. Friend, age 63, of Hebron Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio. He was born January 11, 1956 in Columbus to the late Charles and Doris (Ford) Friend.

He is survived by his son, Richard Friend, of Newark, Ohio; grandson, that he raised as his own, Zack Friend; daughters, Candy Marchione, of South Webster and Christina (Eric) Stone, of Newark; sister, Sally Adams, of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Robert (Mary) Friend, of Columbus and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

William was a self-made man. He started working out of the trunk of his car doing stucco work and turned his work into a successful business. He loved hunting and fishing, but especially he loved his kids and was a loving grandfather. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed anything.

Friends may call 6:00-9:00 Monday, September 16, 2019 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
