William M. Turner, Jr., 67, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Regency Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was the husband of Linda K. Turner. They shared 46 years of marriage together.

Born in North Matewan, West Virginia, he was the son of the late William Sr. and Rhoda Turner. William was a Marine who served in the Vietnam War, and worked as a coal miner in Mingo County, West Virginia. He loved to sing and play his guitar at church. William also loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his friends and family.

William is survived by his wife, Linda Turner; children, Chris Turner, Michael (Michele) Turner, Jeffrey (Suzanne) Turner, Rebekah Turner; grandchildren, Hannah (Josiah) Lenichek, Jessica (Wes) Gilbert, Elisha Turner, Kyle and Garrett Turner, Dakota (Olivia) Turner, Drew Turner, Sarah Mariner, Andreah Mariner, Samanthah Mariner; great-grandchildren, Adam, JoyAnna, and Aaron Lenichek, and Logan Turner. He is also survived by brothers, Danny, David, Timmy, and Phillip; and sisters, Joyce, Linda, and Vickie.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Mark and Alice.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill with brother Terry Hale officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery.
