Randy Allen Tobert, age 58, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on February 7, 2025. Randy was born September 29, 1966, to the late Emil and Loretta Tobert.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Tobert; daughter, Tierany (TJ) Harper; son, Taylor (Ariel) Rhea; and daughter, Jackie (Adam) Jones. He is also survived by his sister, Danielle (Bradley) Paulins; seven grandkids, Rylee, and Axel Harper, Everlee, Emberly and Elsie Rhea, and Nora and Dawson Jones.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his older brother, Emil Tobert Jr. “Pokey”.
Randy was the second oldest of three siblings. He had many passions in his life, like hunting, fishing, music, and sitting on the back porch. He was an avid fan of both the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Dallas Cowboys. His greatest passions, however, came from being a husband, dad, brother, uncle and his proudest title, Papaw. Thank you for always being what we needed you to be to each of us. We hope you rest easy knowing we will carry you with us always.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Adena Hospice for their loving care given to Randy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 11-2 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM with Deacon Emeritus Janie Karl officiating. Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery in Oak Hill.
