Marilyn Ruth Gray, age 96, passed away Wednesday, June 25th, 2025, in Akron, Ohio. She was born February 13th, 1929, in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Albert “Poppy” and Pauline (Clark) Kuhn.

Marilyn moved from Oak Hill, Ohio with her husband to Akron. She later moved back to Oak Hill in 1993, eventually returning to Akron in May of 2025 for end-of-life care. Marilyn worked for Roadway and was a greeter at McDonald’s in the early 90’s. She enjoyed mowing her yard, car rides through the country with friends, home projects, hummingbirds, and her family!

She is survived by her daughters, Rita (Dennis) Myers and Sue (John) Harper; sons, Alan (Michele) Gray and Troy Gray (Stephanie Gillis); 13 grandchildren: Kellie, Denise & Travis VanPelt, Rhonda Kartler, Jennifer Biskner, Mike Bennett, Kory & Kyle Harper, Brandi & Harley Gray, Brooke Alacchi, Chris Franklin, & Alley Bess; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Dean Kuhn, Jeannie Mullins, Shirley Sheline, and Dave Kuhn; and two amazing angels who helped care for her in Oak Hill during her last couple of years, Diane Adkins and Melvin Larhmer.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bud” Gray; daughter, Diane (Robert) Davis; mother, Pauline (Clark) “Mommy” Kuhn; father, Albert “Poppy” Kuhn; stepmother, Thelma (Baker) Kuhn; sisters, Elsie Howard and Francis McGown; and brothers, Don Kuhn and Rick Kuhn.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, from 1PM-3PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill with a funeral service immediately after at 3PM with her nephew, Rev.
