William Franklin “Frank” Hafer, age 79, passed away Wednesday, December 25th, 2019 at Oakwood Community Health Center of Jackson. He was born August 24th, 1940 to the late Carl and Louise Hafer.

He is survived by his baby brother, Michael (Tammy) Hafer of Georgia; his three children: William Franklin (Renae) Hafer Jr. of Covington, Ohio, Thomas Wayne (Tammy) Hafer and Donna Jean Hafer all of Jackson, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Vera Frances (Israel) Hafer; his brother, Buzz Hafer, and sister, Catherine Louise (Hafer) Anido.

Frank was a hard-working man who enjoyed working outdoors cutting firewood, gardening, and farming. He loved animals of all kinds and had several throughout his lifetime.

He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them; especially his mother who passed just a few short years ago. He will be missed greatly but is in a better place.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 30th, 2019 from 12-2PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson.
