Peggy Sue Burton, age 66, of Oak Hill, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019. She was born June 20, 1953 in St. Albans, W.V. to the late William and Eloise (Hunt) Coffee.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Chester Burton Jr.; daughters, April Davis and Jaime (Rick) Barnhart; grandchildren, Brittany Hunt, Damian Burton, Tyler Burton and Logan Davis; great grandchildren, Mason Burton, Jasmine Hunt and Montana Smith; siblings, Nancy Wood and Debbie Brechbill. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Doris Coffee and Linda Knight; and son-in-law, Sam Davis.

Peggy worked at Gallia Developmental Center for many years. After retiring, she enjoyed shopping on QVC with her husband’s credit card, gardening and cooking. Anything involved with taking care of her family, she loved.

Friends may call Friday, November 1, 2019 from 4-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery.
