Cathy Marie Cooper Wood, age 67, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 when God came to take her home. She was born March 7th, 1951 in Oak Hill, Ohio to Easter Belle Cooper and the late John Cooper.

She is survived by her mother, Easter Belle Cooper of Oak Hill, Ohio; her sister, Sherry (Bob) Jenkins of Oak Hill, Ohio; three step-daughters: Amanda (Greg) Dempsey of Jackson, Ohio, Michaela (Wesley) Bolen of Beaver, Ohio, and Leslie Wood of Florida; three nephews, Troy (Chris) Wyant of Chillicothe, Ohio, Jason (Jenny) Wallace of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jeff (Emily) Wallace of Cincinnati, Ohio; and nine nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Wallace and brother-in-law, Dennis Wallace.

Cathy’s family and friends will miss her greatly, but everyone who knew her knew of her great faith in God. We know she went to a better place.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 28th, 2018 from 4-8PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 29th, 2018 at 12PM at the Old Country Church Tabernacle in Oak Hill with Rev. Bryon Carmon officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery.
