Mr. Jack Gerald Jones, age 78, of Oak Hill, Ohio died Thursday morning May 3rd, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Chillicothe. He is survived by two sisters-in-law, Peg (Bobby) Jones of Oak Hill, Ohio and Polly (Paul) Jones of Lewis Center, Ohio; a brother, Morgan (Marilyn) Jones of Greensboro, North Carolina; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jack was a lifelong resident of Oak Hill, living most of his life on Gallia Road and Ash Road. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Skee and Frances E. Jones; a sister, Jane Magdalene Howell; and two brothers, Robert Pascal Jones and Paul Donovan Jones. Jack answered the call of his nation. He performed his duty in the Army. Jack was in an armor division that saw duty in Berlin during the building of the Berlin Wall. Jack worked for many years before his retirement from Pillsbury. He retired to his hobbies and his friends from Pillsbury. Jack loved wilderness adventures, history, army movies, and talking. No funeral services will be observed. The family shall have a “Celebration of Life” at the annual family reunion. Other arrangements have yet to be confirmed.
