Sadie B. Davis, age 92, of Jackson, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Holzer Assisted Living. She was born August 19th, 1927 in Jackson, Ohio.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Sadie was preceded in death by her husband, Dale R. Davis; sister, Gwen M. Davis; and parents, Roosevelt McKinley “Kenny” Cochran and Vernie Cochran.

Sadie served as Township Clerk for Hamilton Township for many years and was involved with the establishment of the township volunteer fire department. Sadie was a member of the local garden club and always kept a beautifully landscaped home with a variety of flowers. She and her husband Dale had a welcoming and hospitable home where they often entertained friends and family.

Sadie and Dale moved to Holzer Assisted Living many years ago where they enjoyed their later years together. Sadie has brightened the days of many a resident and staff member with her recitation of original poems she wrote and the quoting of many that she had memorized. She even played the piano a bit and always had a sunny disposition.

She will be sorely missed by friends and family as she reunites with Dale and her other family members in heaven.

Calling hours will be held at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson on Sunday, October 27th, 2019 from 12-2PM with a funeral service immediately following at 2PM with Larry Boggs officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
