Carrie Mae (Ramsey) Hayes, age 76, of Oak Hill, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Harts, West Virginia to the late Woodson and Martha (Brumfield) Ramsey.

Carrie is survived by her three daughters, Nicole (Robert) Campbell, Danielle Stapleton and Dawn (Robert Hale) Faye; eight grandchildren, Devan, Alexis, Sydney, Shelby, Abrielle, Jacob, DR, and Eli. Also, surviving are her siblings, Ella (Stevie) Figgins, Tommy (Cindy) Ramsey and Woody (Robin) Ramsey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis M Hayes and brother, Johnny Ramsey.

Carrie was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 22 years working in various physician offices and long-term care facilities. After retirement, her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. Carrie was a long-standing active member of Gallia Baptist Church until her health declined.

Her physical therapist and very special friend Brian Duncan. Alicia Kammler and her staff at Oak Hill Adena Clinic. Sara Tobert – Area Agency of Aging – Passort Program and the Family Senior Care of Jackson.

Danielle and Dawn would like to give a sincere thank you to their sister Nicole for the excellent care and compassion you gave to Mom for the past several years. We Love you Nikki.

Friends may call Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 4-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastors, Stan Howard, Jerry Lowery, Cline Rawlins and Allen Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery in Thurman. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dave Alcox Scholarship Fund in c/o Oak Hill Police Department, 415 N.
