Edna Helene Siders, age 83, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 27th, 2019 at Oakwood Community Healthcare Center. She was born January 19th, 1936 in Jackson County, Ohio to the late Ethel (Richie) Frye.

Helene was a very loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family and friends meeting up for a celebration or a meal and enjoying the company of her family and friends. She was employed by the telephone company for many years, where she acquired many lasting friendships even after retirement.

She is survived by her brothers, Paul (Roberta) Frye and Ralph (Charlotte) Frye of Jackson, Ohio; step-children: Toni Plavajka, Tari Siders, and John Siders of California; grandchildren: Shawn (Alisha) Blanton and Stacy (Michael) Sharp of Wellston, Ohio and their mother, Vickie McKenzie; Vickie’s children, Timmy McKenzie and Amy (Chris) Lucas; great-grandchildren: Bella, Desirae, and Kelsey Sharp, Ethan and Isaiah Blanton, Emma (Nathan) Monk, George Lucas, and Kaylee Smith; great-great grandchildren, Alayna and Caleb Monk; and several close nieces, nephews, and very special friends.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Siders; son, James “Jimmy” Blanton; sister, Mary Siders; brother, Merrell Frye; and nephew, Paul Frye Jr.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019 from 11AM-12PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
