James J. Mutter, age 49, died at home on Friday, June 23, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Marsha (Bowman) Mutter; daughter, Katie Jo (Thomas) Gray; step daughter, Roshel Bowman; step grand-daughters, Kylan and Keylei Bowman; in-laws, Samuel and Geraldine Bowman and Shirley Bowman and Wally Johnson; brother-in-law, Rick (Kara) Bowman; sister-in-law, Michele (Curtiss) Jayjohn, all of Jackson county, Ohio. He is also survived by his father, David Mutter; sister, Caroline (Cissy) Rouse; brother, Jason Mutter; aunt Liz Frye, all of North Carolina; special friend, Bill Colmer, of Jackson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Theresa (Gary) Strader; aunt, Wanda (Doug) Harrison; Uncle Joey Heon; and grandparents, Joseph and Mavis Heon.
