Minnie (Friend) French, age 68, of Pedro, passed away early Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Community Hospice in Ashland, Kentucky. She was born October 22, 1947 in Pedro to the late Edward and Ella (Sharp) Friend. Minnie is survived by her six children, Nancy (Jim) Downs, Eugenia (Roy) Murrell, Beth (Mark) Sizemore, Peggy (Jack) Moore, Brenda (Eric) Markel and Brian (Crystal) French. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, one great grandchild on the way, three brothers, three sisters and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Minnie is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Gene French, three brothers and one sister. Per her request, there will only be a public graveside service on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Vernon Cemetery in Pedro.
