Terry Hayden Miller, age 58, of Patriot, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022. He was born August 22, 1963, in Oak Hill to the late Donald H. Miller and Shirley L. Miller, who survives.
Terry graduated from Southwestern High School in 1982. Following high school, he worked several years for Waterloo Coal Company as both a miner and a welder. In later years, he worked many different welding jobs and was known to excel in his trade. Terry was a true outdoorsman. He loved nature, the woods, hunting, hiking, and fishing. He loved foraging for mushrooms and ginseng. He enjoyed campfires and music of all kinds often singing or quoting song lyrics. He also loved the competition of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune with his family. He loved his friends and family and enjoyed every day to the fullest.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Trudy Lynn (Fox) Miller; one son, Nathan Hayden Miller; and grandchildren, Olivia, and Alexander. Also surviving are his siblings, Dianna (Daniel) Taylor, Donald (Christina) Miller, Janet Mercer, Kathy Ross, Christopher (Deidra) Miller and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022, from 11-1 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 with Reverend Randy Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Gallia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, American Cancer Society P.O.
