Pastor Rondall T. Walker Sr.



Pastor Rondall T Walker Sr, 75 of Oak Hill, Ohio, took his heavenly flight Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from the Huntington VA Hospital in West Virginia. Rondall was born December 14, 1945 in Olive Hill, Kentucky to the late Estill and Maggie (Fields) Walker.


Rondall married the love of his life Donna, on October 15, 1967 just one week before leaving to fight in the Vietnam War. Once he returned from Vietnam, he and his new bride moved to Fort Knox, KY where he was stationed, and they started their family. Later, he was handpicked by the United States Pentagon to go to West Point, NY for his outstanding skills. While enlisted in the United States Army he was promoted to Staff Sgt E-6 and received two Bronze Stars for two special missions in Vietnam. Including his time with the Ohio National Guard, he proudly served 12 years for his country. Rondall worked many years for the Oak Hill Chevrolet Garage and built Walker’s Garage in Pyro where he was self-employed and very successful because of his knowledge and integrity. He’s had numerous achievements in life, but his greatest achievement was when he turned his life over to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 33 years ago, he not only preached the Word of God, but he was a Living Testimony to others.


He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 53 years, Donna (Simpson) Walker; his son, Rondall II and his wife, Wendy: whom he lovingly called “Wednesday”; his daughter, Crystal; three grandchildren, that he loved so very much, Daniel Walker, Rebecca and her husband Kyle Wright and Katie Cline, all of Oak Hill. Also surviving are his two precious great grandsons, Liam Isaiah and Roman Alexander, of Oak Hill; his very special brother, Don Walker, of Tennessee and sister-in-law, Gracie Fairchild; as well as his adopted daughter by heart, Jennifer Marks, church family, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


Rondall is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Ora and Barbara Kay Spencer; and three half-brothers, Junior, Frank and Ed, as well as twin infant siblings, Irene and Ercel


Friends may call Saturday December 19, 2020 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Lewis Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held Sunday December 20, 2020 at 2:00pm at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill, Ohio with Rev. Fred Crabtree officiating with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Centerpoint, Ohio with military funeral services provided by the DAV of Jackson and the United States Army.
