Geneva Muriel Rawlins, age 87 of Oak Hill Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018 at Heartland of Jackson. She was born May 26,1931 in the Eifort area in Scioto County Ohio to the late Wayne Walls and Marie (Canter) Walls.

Muriel loved spending time with her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were among her greatest joys. She was a pioneer in the areas of Emergency Medical Technicians and the sterilization of medical Instruments. She was one of the first women to be certified in both fields of work as well as one of the first women in the area to volunteer as an EMT on Oak Hills first EMS. Muriel was a Godly woman who enjoyed fellowship and worship at Winchester Church and the many friendships among the members of the Oak Hill Community Medical Center Retirees Club. She was a member of the Bluegrass Club in Jackson Ohio. Muriel was a wonderful woman who enjoyed taking care of others and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by, the pride and joy of her life, three sons, Mark E. Leonard and Daniel A (Dorothy) Leonard of Oak Hill Ohio, and Dennis W. (Sandra) Leonard of Sioux Falls South Dakota; grandchildren: Shawn Leonard, Tim Leonard, Malena French, Melissa Leonard, Gabrielle Leonard, Carrie Mitchell; 9 great-grandchildren: Micaela Stillpass, Madison French, Zoe Leonard, Danny Leonard, Lilly Leonard, Audrey Rappold, Emma Leonard, Jackson Leonard, and one she thought of as her own, Abigail Scragg; one great great grandchild and numerous other loving relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne Leonard; her second husband, Clinton Blantan; third husband, Howard Rawlins; 6 siblings, Carrie, Leona, Ernest (Gene), Arnold (Bud), William (Bill), Loraine

Friends may call Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 4-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
